Faculty Book Talk: Muse and Mercy: Exploring Fine and Decorative Arts at Salve Regina University

Join Anthony F. Mangieri, PhD, and Ernest Jolicoeur, MFA, Associate Professors with the Department of Art and Art History, for a preview and discussion about their forthcoming book Muse and Mercy: Exploring Fine and Decorative Arts at Salve Regina University. The book, which will be published and launched in early December, is the first catalogue of the University's art collections. The exhibition that accompanies the book's publication is called "Muse and Mercy:  Celebrating 75 Years of Art at Salve Regina University."  The exhibition will be open in Hamilton Gallery from November 10-December 11, 2022, with an opening night reception slated for Thursday, Nov. 10, from 5-7 p.m.  

Ernest Jolicoeur is Associate Professor of Studio Art and Director of Dorrance H. Hamilton Gallery at Salve Regina University.  He is a painter who exhibits his work nationally and internationally.  

Anthony F. Mangieri is Associate Professor of Art History at Salve Regina University.  He is the author of Virgin Sacrifice in Classical Art:  Women, Agency, and the Trojan War (Routledge, 2018).
