Faculty Lecture Series: Symbolization of Infinity: Intersections of Geometry and Religion

Encounter the beauty of Islamic tiling with Dr. Carol Gibbons and Dr. Jayme Hennessy as they share insights and experiences from their sabbatical research in Al-Andalus, Spain, and Morocco.  Explore the heritage of Islamic geometric design in mosques, madrassas, palaces and present-day workshops of the artists and artisans of the Naji family in Fez.  Consider how these designs may open one to an experience of the infinite.
